There were no triggers for my depressive state, so I just chalked it up to the natural ups and downs of living. But the depression persisted. I found it difficult to function. Eventually, I got counseling, and my therapist placed me on prescription drugs. I thought that would help. I gave it time. But the drugs didn't do anything. That's when I heard about essential oils. I thought the claims were outrageous. Just put a few drops of lemon oil in a diffuser, and you'll feel better. Well, at this point, I had nothing to lose. I tried it once and noticed a difference. That gave me encouragement, so I did it again.
