About the author: James Bonang is currently a software engineer and Associate Technical Fellow at an aerospace firm. Over his three decades in the field, he has developed software for satellite communications terminals, unmanned submarines, avionics systems, sonar systems, mission planning systems, medical devices, compilers, source code scanners, and document management systems. He's served as a software architect, developer, technical lead, integration engineer, technical writer, test engineer and manager. He earned a master's degree in computer science and bachelor's degrees in computer science and physics. He has been granted five patents, has taught university courses in computer science and software engineering, and is a retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander.
