Название: Data Science Techniques for Cryptocurrency Blockchains
Автор: Innar Liiv
Издательство: Springer
Год: 2021
Формат: True PDF
Страниц: 117
Размер: 10 Mb
Язык: English

This book brings together two major trends: data science and blockchains. It is one of the first books to systematically cover the analytics aspects of blockchains, with the goal of linking traditional data mining research communities with novel data sources. Data science and big data technologies can be considered cornerstones of the data-driven digital transformation of organizations and society.
The concept of blockchain is predicted to enable and spark transformation on par with that associated with the invention of the Internet. Cryptocurrencies are the first successful use case of highly distributed blockchains, like the world wide web was to the Internet.

Efficient MySQL Performance (Early Release)Название: Efficient MySQL Performance (Early Release)
Автор: Daniel Nichter
Издательство: O’Reilly Media, Inc.
Год: 2021-06-23
Язык: английский
Формат: epub
Размер: 10.1 MB

You'll find several books on MySQL basics today, but only one that covers advanced MySQL performance--and nothing in between. That's because explaining MySQL performance without addressing its complexity is difficult. This practical book bridges the gap by teaching developers mid-level MySQL knowledge beyond the fundamentals, but well shy of deep-level internals required by DBAs.

AI Smart Kit: Agile Decision-Making on AIНазвание: AI Smart Kit: Agile Decision-Making on AI (Abridged Version)
Автор: Melodena Stephens, Himanshu Vashishtha
Издательство: Information Age Publishing
Год: 2021
Язык: английский
Формат: pdf (true)
Размер: 10.1 MB

There are many myths about Artificial Intelligence (AI) relating to what it is and what it can and cannot do. The people making decisions on AI projects are often not technologically savvy and unable to find easy answers. The spending on and the returns from AI projects are not necessarily straightforward. Part of the reason for this is the lack of understanding of the impact of critical decision criteria. AI touches on many ethical concepts - data privacy, validity, and, more importantly, its potential misuse. AI often replaces human decision-making, as managers do not clearly understand the implications of those choices. This book provides an easy and accessible guide for practitioners without a technological background to understand AI.

Название: Intelligent Data Analysis for COVID-19 Pandemic (Algorithms for Intelligent Systems)
Автор: M. Niranjanamurthy, Siddhartha Bhattacharyya,Neeraj Kumar
Издательство: Springer
Год: 2021
Формат: PDF
Страниц: 377
Размер: 11,8 Mb
Язык: English

This book presents intelligent data analysis as a tool to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. The intelligent data analysis includes machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision applications to teach computers to use big data-based models for pattern recognition, explanation, and prediction. These functions are discussed in detail in the book to recognize (diagnose), predict, and explain (treat) COVID-19 infections, and help manage socio-economic impacts. It also discusses primary warnings and alerts; tracking and prediction; data dashboards; diagnosis and prognosis; treatments and cures; and social control by the use of intelligent data analysis. It provides analysis reports, solutions using real-time data, and solution through web applications details.

Издательство: Springer
Год: 2021
Формат: True PDF
Страниц: 273
Размер: 20,3 Mb
Язык: English

This book is written for research students and early-career researchers to quickly and easily learn how to analyse data using SPSS. It follows commonly used logical steps in data analysis design for research. The book features SPSS screenshots to assist rapid acquisition of the techniques required to process their research data.
Rather than using a conventional writing style to discuss fundamentals of statistics, this book focuses directly on the technical aspects of using SPSS to analyse data. This approach allows researchers and research students to spend more time on interpretations and discussions of SPSS outputs, rather than on the mundane task of actually processing their data.

This book covers the econometric methodsnecessary for a practicing applied economist or data analyst. This requiresboth an understanding of statistical theory and how it is used in actual applications. Chapters 1 to 9 present the material concerned with basic statistical theory. Chapters 10 to 13 introduce a number of topics which form the basis of more advanced option modules, such as time series methods in applied econometrics. To get the most out of these topics, companion files include Excel datasets and 4-color figures. It includes pull down menus to graph the data, calculate sample statistics and estimate regression equations.

Automated Verification of Concurrent Search Structures (Synthesis Lectures on Computer Science)Название: Automated Verification of Concurrent Search Structures
Автор: Siddharth Krishna, Nisarg Patel
Издательство: Morgan & Claypool
Год: 2021
Страниц: 190
Язык: английский
Формат: pdf (true)
Размер: 10.2 MB

Search structures support the fundamental data storage primitives on key-value pairs: insert a pair, delete by key, search by key, and update the value associated with a key. Concurrent search structures are parallel algorithms to speed access to search structures on multicore and distributed servers. These sophisticated algorithms perform fine-grained synchronization between threads, making them notoriously difficult to design correctly. Indeed, bugs have been found both in actual implementations and in the designs proposed by experts in peer-reviewed publications. The rapid development and deployment of these concurrent algorithms has resulted in a rift between the algorithms that can be verified by the state-of-the-art techniques and those being developed and used today. The goal of this book is to show how to bridge this gap in order to bring the certified safety of formal verification to high-performance concurrent search structures.
