Авторы данного учебного пособия, решили в краткой и доступной форме изложить основные понятия по механике студентам биологического факультета, учитывая и зная, что при изучении законов и физических явлений. эти студенты испытывают определённые трудности. Это, возможно связано с тем, что учебников по физике, написанных специально для биологов очень мало. В то же время, изложенный материал по физике, в указанных учебниках очень слабо отражает связь биологии с современной физикой, в них очень мало наглядных иллюстраций.
