Открывающий сборник доклад об источниках по изучению социальных корней христианства дает обобщенное изложение взглядов автора на изучение не только социальных корней, но и всей проблемы раннего христианства в целом. Следующая за докладом статья ставит ту же проблему в исследовательском плане.
