Industrial Electronics is a branch of electronics, which is used for industrial applications. It plays a crucial role in the efficient and smooth operation of manufacturing facilities and industrial processes. This book introduces the commonly used building blocks in industrial electronics. The reader learns which circuit can be used for which application. It is suitable as a laboratory manual for courses like: industrial electronics or power electronics.
This book contains 50 experiments, which help the reader to explore the concepts studied in the classroom. It is assumed that the reader is familiar with the working principles of circuits. The references given at the end of chapters helps you to refresh your theoretical knowledge. Here is a brief summary of chapters and appendixes:
Chapter 1 studies the most commonly used measurement devices that are used in the laboratory. Chapter 2 studies the most commonly used switches (i.e., relay, BJT, MOSFET, temperature, and reed switches). Chapter 3 studies the thyristor and triacs. Chapter 4 studies the different types of power supply circuits. Chapter 5 studies the DC-DC converter circuits. Chapter 6 studies the different types of filter and comparator circuits. Chapter 7 studies the speed and direction control of DC motors. Chapter 8 studies the delay generator circuits. Appendix shows how to draw different types of graphs with MATLAB.
