W dalszych trzech rozdziałach rozpatrzymy konkretne procesy tworzenia się pierwszych państw w poszczególnych odłamach Słowiańszczyzny: u Słowian południowych, na Morawach i w Czechach, a także w Polsce południowej, której państwowe początki wypada wiązać z ośrodkiem morawskim. W następnym tomie przejdziemy do śledzenia odnośnych procesów u innych sąsiadów Polski: na Rusi oraz u Słowian połabskich, ażeby zamknąć ten przegląd organizacyjno-państwowych procesów Słowiańszczyzny rozpatrzeniem genezy państwa Piastów. Sądzimy, że wyraźniej zarysuje się ona w kontekście ogólnosłowiańskim, niż gdybyśmy ją traktowali w sposób mniej lub bardziej izolowany.
